Sophia received her early training in Dowingtown, PA, with Donna Muzio and the Brandywine Ballet.  She studied under Suzanne Farrell at the Kennedy Center, Patricia McBride at Chautauqua, and attended the School of American Ballet in New York on a full scholarship.  She is a 1998 National Foundation for Adnancement of The Arts award recipient, and SAB's 1998 Princess Grace Nominee.  After receiving a dance Honorarium Award from the Princess Grace Foundation, she danced with the Miami City Ballet from 1998 through 2002.  Her education is both national and international.
