The New Castle Dance Academy School of Music & Dance Opens its fourth studio this year in a new location at Peoples Plaza, Routes 40 & Old 896, serving the Glasgow/Newark area. |

. . New Castle Dance Academy is once again on the cutting edge in refitting a 3,200 square foot complex that will allow then to implement innovative ideas to combine music and dance. By bringing their own unique touch to a comprehensive program, they will come full circle in the promotion and appreciation of the performing arts. . . This extra studio space will allow inclusion of a new music program, giving parents the convenience of |
scheduling activities for different children at the same time. In addition to regular class offerings of Classical Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Mom and Tiny Two's, Gymnastics, Kinderdance, Baton Twirling, Cardio tone and Stretch, and Pilates, this new location will allow space for soundproof rooms for music instruction. This new facility will now feature the Hubbard Street Theatre Dance technique - an electric form of jazz and modern dance. Also offered is |
liturgical dance and urban funk. . . With their bear location bursting at the seams, NCDA is expanding into a new location to offer more diverse programs and convenient class times to the residents of New Castle and Kent Counties. Sound proof music rooms, large observation windows to watch class progression, new sound systems, flooring, and a large waiting area for parents, are just a few of the amenities to be offered. |

EXPANDED CLASS CHOICES SAVE TIME FOR BUSY FAMILIES: . . . School Director, Valerie Gooding, says that many of the parents choose the school because in addition to having excellent teachers and programs, it will be possible to have one child in music lessons while another child is in dance classes. The new facility will have additional individual music teaching studios and dance studios. It is possible to get 2, 3 or even 4 different students, adults included, in different lessons during the same time period. . . The school has also added additional evening, and weekend class times to accommodate more students in "first choice" times. Between the pressures of homework, sports and family time, a lot of parents can be overwhelmed trying to fit in all the activities. Gooding says that many parents and kids are so busy that saving 45 minutes to an hour of commute time per week between activities really helps the typical busy family's schedule. |

LARGE VARIETY OF MUSIC AND DANCE CLASSES: . . . A large diversity of instruments spring from the typical piano, guitar, voice lessons, and their focus is on helping students gain the skills they need to enjoy music long after music lessons are over. Once the basics are mastered, more specialized instruments will be incorporated into the program. . . The school's dance program offers every style of dance currently taught. This past year the schools competitive dance teams did very well in the many competitions they attended. This year, with the additional class times, the fourth studio, and new dance teachers, the school is offering more of its most popular classes, such as expanded evening adult classes and the popular 2-5 year old dance program. . . New Castle Dance Academy is the official school of Ballet Elite of Delaware. Rehearsals at the new location will allow for future growth as the company evolves and will greatly enhance our yearly Nutcracker production. |

The credentials of the existing and new staff are highly impressive and reflect the diversity of education offered.
