Our Philosophy

To develop accomplished students for performance opportunities but also to recognize that other perform for recreational and physical fitness purposes. However, no matter what the reason that brought you to the performing arts, that through the learning process we encourage respect, self-confidence and appreciation towards the arts and others. We promote well-rounded students to be the best they can be which will carry them through a lifetime.

Our History of Excellence

The New Castle Dance & Music Academy name was derived from the region of New Castle County and Academy, signifying “higher learning”. It has been in existence since 1978. It expanded rapidly, simply through “word of mouth.” New Castle Dance & Music Academy has been home to thousands of enriched students over the past 38 years.The Academy upholds standards and ethics second to none and is one of the most well-rounded conservatories in the state.The proof is in its shows that can’t be beat by any competitor.

The Jr. and Sr. Dance Company “Ballet Elite of Delaware”, performs the Russian Version of The Nutcracker under the direction of Andrei Govorov.  The Award-winning Dance Teams consistently place overall High scores.  In 2010, the Academy won the “Reader’s Choice” Best Dance Studio by The News Journal and a finalist in the 2012 season!  In 2011, it became a Home School approved venue.  In 2014 won the SBA Family Business of The Year and in 2016, The Academy was awarded the Best Kids Dance Studio in Northern Delaware.  An invitational was offered by the AAPAE to exclusively represent the State of DE and perform at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and our students rocked the house, when we performed in Barcelona, Spain during ‘Summer Stages’ organized by the Performing Arts Educators.
