Student Placement Policies

Students are placed in an age-appropriate class with respect to physical development, individual potential and proficiency by the director with the student’s best interest in mind. Students are stimulated to advanced as they are technically able to do so, and are instructed of their strengths and weaknesses in a balanced manner.

Regular attendance is essential for progress. The school is not responsible for absences. Make-up classes are not available when a student is absent from a private lesson. During inclement weather, please check your email or NCDMA’s Facebook page for cancellation notices, or call the studio. The school is not responsible for absences due to inclement weather, but will accommodate students making up as best we can. If make-ups cannot be utilized, there will not be a reduction in tuition. Repeated absences jeopardizes a student’s progress and confidence and could result in dismissal.

Visiting Days

Classes will be notified through our monthly newsletter for specific dates. Parents or guardians are welcome and may speak with the instructors with any questions regarding a student’s progress at this time.
